“I’m on my last nerve!”
I hear that a lot. I used to feel like that most of the time. My nervous system had been stuck in chronic stress for years. I learned that I had been dysregulated. I never knew there was such a thing as regulation. I thought I was at the mercy of whatever emotional weather was blowing through my life at the time. Then I found Conscious EFT™ and that changed everything.
EFT is the short form for Emotional Freedom Techniques, also known as Tapping.
I learned how to calm my nervous system, and experienced a whole world of benefits to my body, as well as my mind! And once I could intentionally regulate… regularly, I was able to take a deeper dive into exploring what was holding me back from showing up in life the way I wanted.
Conscious EFT™ is my central tool for helping people reduce stress and build a solid foundation for an intentional and conscious life. But I am also interested in how we nourish ourselves and am using Conscious EFT™ as a way to explore how we can tap into a new relationship with food.
We are in a time of huge expansion in our understanding of how our body, mind and emotions work. Research into EFT has skyrocketed and it is scientifically validated as an effective and safe technique that can bring benefits to all levels of life. Likewise, research into physical, mental and emotional health is revealing a new way of approaching wellness. And my nutrition geek is really excited to learn new ways we can more deeply nourish ourselves!
Microbiome is a new buzzword.
We are now seeing how there are communication and action between all our systems. Our digestive, nervous and immune systems are all linked; what happens in one impacts the others. And the conductor in this dance is our microbiome (the diverse group of microbes that lives on and in us).
The gut microbiome is a powerful force. Imbalances between ‘friendly’ and ‘unfriendly’ microbes can be linked to inflammation, anxiety, body pain, depression. And a whole range of conditions with labels like ADHD, Alzheimer’s, PTSD, and other conditions that were once thought to be purely psychological in nature. We now know definitively that they can be improved by a balanced microbiome. Research in this area continues but, there is growing knowledge about how specific species and strains of bacteria can improve certain conditions.
This new understanding benefits us all.
I can’t tell you how hopeful that makes me feel. This opens avenues for effective treatment of things we once thought we had to live with.
I’m grateful to be here to experience this shift in awareness that helps us take intentional and conscious action to help ourselves. I am so excited to be learning how Conscious EFT™ and living/whole food nutrition can work together to bring balance, pleasure and creativity to life. And I’m so glad I don’t have to be stuck on my last nerve anymore!
I can’t wait to share some of these easy tools with you!
